Psychedelic like

This Initio-inspired fragrance opens with hedione (jasmine) and ylang ylang at the forefront. It’s a subtle floral for the first hour. Then it opens up to allow some of the woods to shine through. This is powdery thanks to the heliotrope and not at all what I imagine psychedelic love to smell like. In my mind that phrase conjures cannabis, mushrooms, oak moss and incense. Rolling around in lush grass, giggling and naked. On my skin, this is a cooler weather scent only. And a very subtle, floral-dominant one at that. Out of the 50+ frags I own, I don’t wake up thinking ooh I want to wear this today (unlike Rehab, or Molecule 01, or Diaghilev, or Fate Woman). So for me it’s a miss. I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s still a very good fragrance oil. True to the original. Just not my taste (I have a strong chypre preference… woody, spicy, dirty, incense 👌🏽).
